A survey by Police Service of Northern Ireland shows that 95% of children using the 360 programme enjoyed it. When asked how they rated Skill City VR and the classroom activities, 29% said it was ‘very good’ with 56% saying ‘good’.
360 Founder & MD Rob Hattersley said: ‘We’re delighted that even our pilot programme is achieving such results and that children enjoy it so much, as having fun is an essential part of successful learning. We’re working to refine and further develop the resource and look forward to the results of our full academic evaluation which will be published in Spring 2023. We’re grateful for financial and practical support from the police in our rollout.’
Phase 1 helps teachers of 10-14 year olds address safeguarding and child protection topics through classroom discussion about dilemmas in VR Skill City. 360 is working to source additional funding to extend this provision to the whole primary phase as soon as possible.
